Aren't we all wiser In hindsight? You realize what an ass you have been, but only when it is all over.
The vain attempt at reading novels, watching TV, and listening to music to forget it all only aggravated the dreadful feeling. You fell terrible for allowing someone to use you and treat you as per his/her whims and fancies. But then, why feel terrible, you only allowed him to treat you this way. You surrendered to him, to the wrong one, for the wrong reasons.
The problem is you allow you heart and your mind to believe what are nothing but sheer lies. Some where deep down you know that what ever is told to you is not the truth but you haplessly keep hanging to a weak string waiting for some miracle to happen. For lies to convert to truth- to love- and you end up feeling wretched....being used.
You cant blame the other person for this; you never can. it is you to be blamed. it has always been you! You did this to your self while you deserved better ...while you had better on your side. What is it you have been thinking? the truth is YOU are the bad person out here. while you are chasing or waiting for what has never been yours; you cheated on what is yours. You disrespected all the love you have been getting all this while from the one who is yours. The trust, the faith he has placed on you. The trust, the faith he still has in you.
Falling for someone else or expecting someone else to love you the way you always wanted to be loved can never be a solution. if you are feeling a cavity in your heart; it is there because you allowed it to creep in. No one will ever love you the way you dream. They will love you the way they know and can.
